What started as Daisy sending Eli the lyrics to I Found My Unicorn—a playful ode to the mythical man who knows she wants chainsaws and flowers, can fix the sink, dance in the kitchen, cook dinner, and still help with the dishes—unexpectedly lit a creative fire.

Behind the names Eli Walker and Daisy Thorn are two real people with decades of shared history, creative chemistry, 

and a mutual love of the land—whether forest or field—a fondness for absurd humor, and a soft spot for the farm critters that inevitably wander into their stories range from heartfelt to hilariously ridiculous.

Eli is the musical mastermind—a lifelong guitarist, songwriter, and independent artist who has been creating music across genres for more than 20 years, quietly writing, recording, and releasing songs from his home studio long before Mud, Boots, and Moonlight ever had a name.

Daisy - spent years singing mostly in showers and long car rides, while quietly crafting stories filled with wild ideas, emotional truths, dark humor, and the occasional dragon.

Somewhere in that mix, they found something unexpected in country storytelling:

 a place where grit, humor, longing, resilience, absurdity, and moonlit what-ifs could all sit at the same table.

That became Mud, Boots, and Moonlight.
